Old Style French Panes Made More Energy Efficient

Old style french pane windows are very popular in New Orleans. They are true to the city\’s French heritage. These windows look nice but are not well insulated or offer much in the way of heat rejection. This is exactly the type of window that greatly benefits from window tint. Talk about a difference in performance. We installed Ceramic 60 on these windows  for an Uptown New Orleans client.  this film drastically reduced the heat entering the home. The best part about it is that you can\’t even tell the windows are tinted by looking at them.

We took a BTU reading before and after the installation of the tint. BTU stands for British Thermal Unit. 1 BTU is the amount of energy required to raise a gallon of water by 1 degree in an hour. Notice that before the tint was installed the BTU meter is reading 276 and after it dropped to 55. This window tint project will have a very fast return on investment for our client.
